“Halperin Park development to reunify Oak Cliff neighborhood”

Southern Gateway Park in Oak Cliff has been renamed Halperin Park. Community leaders planted the first trees on Tuesday, marking the start of a project aimed at reuniting the neighborhood. The first phase of construction will include an outdoor pavilion, spaces for restaurants and retail, and the park is expected to open near the Dallas Zoo in spring of next year.
