Our Team

The Southern Gateway Public Green Foundation was organized as a project and a component fund of The Dallas Foundation in 2017.

The Foundation received its 501(c)(3) tax status in November 2018. Since its inception, the Foundation secured $40 million in public funds from the NCTCOG, worked with the City of Dallas to obtain $7 million in matching funds from the 2017 bond program, initiated the deck park concept design, conducted community meetings, and organized fundraising, governance, and design oversight functions.
